2023/2024 Fulbright Teaching Excellence and Achievement Program

In the Fulbright Teaching Excellence and Achievement Program, foreign educators are invited to the United States for a six-week professional learning programme that includes academic seminars at a host university and co-teaching responsibilities at adjacent schools. To observe learning settings, team-teach, and share their experience with teachers and students, participants travel to various public, private (secular or religious), or grammar schools. Individuals typically participate in cultural and civic events in their host communities.
For more than 75 years, the Fulbright Teacher Exchanges, a family of Fulbright Program activities, have given teachers the chance to study, instruct, consult, observe, and interact in classrooms and schools abroad. In addition to creating intercultural communication ability in their cultures and educating students for the globalised, interconnected world, teachers also assist pupils in developing their critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
The Fulbright Teacher Exchanges are open to elementary and secondary (K–12) educators, librarians, information specialists, counsellors, and others.
Program access may occasionally be available to principals and other educational leaders. The eligibility requirements are described on the programme detail pages.
