For Students to Study in the Netherlands in 2023, there is the Orange Knowledge Programe (OKP).

The Dutch Ministry of Foreign Affairs created and fully funds the Orange Knowledge Programe (OKP), For top students who want to pursue a degree in the Netherlands.

This scholarship opportunity, is available to mid-career professionals in selected nations, and aims to support the sustainable and inclusive development of society.

Eligibility Criteria For The Orange Knowledge Programe (OKP)

  1. A professional must be a citizen of, work for, and reside in one of the nations included on the current (OKP) Nation list.
  2. A current employer statement that adheres to the guidelines set forth by Nuffic.
  3. One cannot have a position at a company that can be assumed to have its own resources for staff development, such as a global corporation (like Shell, Unilever, or Microsoft), a sizable national organisation, or a sizable business; an international NGO; a multilateral donor organisation (such as a UN agency, the World Bank, the IMF, Asian Development Bank, African Development Bank, or IADB); (e.g. Oxfam, Plan, Care).
  4. A current employer declaration that adheres to the structure Nuffic has specified.
  5. Have a government statement, that satisfies the requirements of the nation in which the employer is established (if applicable).
  6. One must have an official passport that is valid for at least three months after the submission date of the registration form by the candidate.
  7. All information must be provided, and all commitments included in the format must be endorsed in the statement.

Ethiopia, Ghana, Indonesia, Iraq, Jordan, Kenya, Lebanon, Mali, Mozambique, Niger, Nigeria, Palestinian Territories, Rwanda, Senegal, Somalia, South Africa, South Sudan, Sudan, Tanzania, Tunisia, Uganda, Vietnam, and Yemen.

Value of Award

  1. The purpose of a KOP fellowship, is to supplement the pay you continue to get while studying in the Netherlands.
  2. Your living expenses.
  3. Tuition, visas, travel, insurance, and thesis research.

  2. Then get in touch with the school that offers that course to learn how to apply for the scholarship.
  3. By using the filter “Orange Knowledge Programme” on their database of study programmes, you can get a list of programmes and organizations affiliated with the Orange Knowledge Programme (OKP).

Application Deadline

In 2023, these are the following rounds
Round 1: submit applications between 8 February-30 March, 16.00 CET for courses starting between 24 July 2023 and 31 January 2024.
Round 2: For courses beginning after 1 February 2024, submit applications between 28 June and 5 September at 16.00 CET.
