Eligibility Criteria For The Mastercard Foundation EdTech Fellowship 2023.

  • Has a technology-enabled solution to improve educational outcomes in South Africa, preferably supporting learners in pre-primary (ages 0-5), primary and secondary (ages 5-18), and/or teacher training and professional development.
  • Following revenue (annual turnover likely to exceed R1,000,000); Within one year of program participation, the program has the potential to reach 8,000 direct learners.
  • With a focus on South Africa, this paper addresses a significant market opportunity.
  • Characterized by a high potential for influencing positive social outcomes in education.
  • Has recently raised or is in the process of raising a seed round of funding, or has demonstrated comparable maturity.
  • We’re especially excited to support inspiring female founders and leadership teams, who are led by a diverse team with a strong understanding of the context in which they operate.
