The World Bank Group Youth Summit Pitch Competition for Young Changemakers

With thousands of participants from all over the world, the World Bank Group Youth Summit strives to engage young people in conversation about the most important issues affecting their generation. The 2023 Summit’s theme, From the Ground Up: Local Solutions to Drive Global Impact, emphasises the importance of locally developed, regionally scaled, and internationally elevated development solutions.
The World Bank Group’s dedication to promoting local expertise, solutions, and ownership as essential to addressing the problems of international development is also reflected in this topic.
This live event will demonstrate how young people may address some of the world’s most pressing concerns through local and grassroots solutions with the potential to make a global effect as part of the debut of the 2023 Pitch Competition, a major component of the Youth Summit. The three development pillars that the Pitch competition is structured around will be the subject of discussions. These areas are:

  • Areas plagued by war, violence, and fragility.
  • Climate change, transition, and energy security.
  • Through work and skill development, financial security.
Also, they will talk about how to use your collective leadership and local knowledge.
The 2023 World Bank Group Youth Conference will take place in Washington, DC, on May 25–26, both physically and virtually.
