The Danish Government, in collaboration with the University of Southern Denmark, is offering international students the Danish Government Scholarship – supported by the Ministry of Higher Education and Science – for the academic year 2023-2024.

This scholarship is highly competitive and is available to international students pursuing a Masters of Engineering degree (Electronic & Mechatronics). The scholarship is divided into two parts: a full tuition waiver and a grant to help cover living expenses totaling DKK 3000 per month before taxes.

DETAILS | University of Southern Danish Government Scholarship

This scholarship is given to selected applicants in recognition of the significant investment that international students make in their education. The Faculty of Engineering may also award scholarships to highly qualified applicants to other programs in Snderborg. The scholarships are given to the best-qualified candidates based on their Bachelor’s degree grade point average.

Eligibility Criteria

Applicants for the University of Southern Denmark Government Scholarship must meet the following requirements:

  • International students must apply.
  • Applicants must hold a bachelor’s degree in a related field.
  • Applicants must be enrolled in one of the following master’s programs in Snderborg, beginning in September: MSc in Engineering Mechatronics (Snderborg); MSc in Engineering Electronics (Snderborg)

How to Apply

The scholarships will be awarded to the most qualified applicants. All qualified applicants who are offered a place to study will be automatically considered for the scholarship. There is no need for a separate application.

To be considered for the scholarship, all required documentation must be submitted before the application deadline in order for us to process your application.

  • Official transcripts and diplomas in English, Danish, Swedish, or Norwegian must include grades and units/credits for each course.
  • Course descriptions for the classes listed on your transcripts.
  • Language proficiency in English must be demonstrated.
