The Mo Ibrahim Foundation academy Fellowship 2023, a joint project of the Mo Ibrahim Foundation and Chatham House, is now accepting applications from appropriately qualified Africans.

The fellowship provides candidates in their early to mid-career with the opportunity to spend ten months at Chatham House working on an individual research project of their choice, where fellows develop their skills through the leadership program and expand their professional network in international affairs.

Mo Ibrahim Foundation Academy Fellowship | ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA

The typical Mo Ibrahim Foundation Academy Fellow must meet the following requirements:

  • African citizens must apply. Applications will also be accepted from applicants with dual nationality from any African country.
  • Applicants must have a BA degree or its equivalent and research experience.
  • There are no age restrictions.
  • Applicants should be in their early to mid-career stages and come from one of the following fields or work: academia, non-governmental organizations, business, government departments, civil society, or the media.
  • All applicants must have knowledge of, and an interest in, international affairs, their chosen area of research, and the mission and research of Chatham House.
