IELTS Prize Award 2024/25 | Overview

This prize is designed to support candidates from eligible countries who have undertaken the IELTS test for the purpose of pursuing education and work opportunities abroad. Each of the specified countries will see seven fortunate IELTS test takers receiving a prize of £5,000 to transform their academic aspirations into reality.

The 2024 IELTS Prize is accessible to individuals residing in the following nations: Bangladesh, Canada, Colombia, Ghana, Kenya, Nigeria, and South Africa.

Two variants of the IELTS test are available: IELTS Academic and IELTS General Training. The IELTS Academic exam is intended for individuals applying for higher education or professional registration in English-speaking settings. It mirrors some attributes of academic language and gauges your readiness for academic study or training.

The IELTS General Training assessment is tailored for those heading to English-speaking countries for secondary education, work exposure, or training programs. It also serves as a prerequisite for migration to Australia, Canada, New Zealand, and the UK. This test focuses on fundamental survival skills in diverse social and workplace contexts. While Listening and Speaking sections are identical for both assessments, the content of the Reading and Writing sections varies based on the chosen test.
