SANA Bursary Programme 2024
The South African Nursery Association is welcoming applications for its bursary programme from qualified candidates. These bursaries are tailored for students with a passion for pursuing a career in Horticulture, contingent upon the successful completion of all modules in their first academic year. Furthermore, PhD, Masters, and BTech students are also eligible to apply, with their applications undergoing individual review.

- South African citizenship required
- Minimum 60% average per subject
- Students pursuing degrees in BSc, BSc (Hons), MSc, PhD Agric, National Diploma, or Higher Diploma in Horticultural Science, Horticulture, or Landscaping
- Successful completion of three first-year academic subjects with an average of over 60% per subject

- Motivational letter – minimum 150 words, addressing the following questions: How do you envision your career developing in the green industry? Have you engaged in any community volunteer work? If so, where and for how long?
- What was your experience, and how did you perceive it?
- Have you participated in the horticultural industry? If yes, were you a volunteer or employed, and what were the key lessons learned from that experience?
- Have you visited any nurseries? If so, where, and what stood out the most to you?
- What is the distance to your nearest nursery, and what is its name?
