Lyceum College Closing Date of The Grade R Diploma, DIPLOMA IN GRADE R TEACHING – The Diploma in Grade R Teaching is the entry-level qualification for Grade R instructors. The Diploma in Grade R Teaching is designed to produce teachers who can demonstrate broad concepts as well as specific knowledge and abilities necessary for Grade R teaching.
Primary Goal
The fundamental goal of this certificate is to provide teachers with the necessary skills and knowledge to implement curriculum and to maximize any teaching-learning situation.
Qualification
The qualification necessitates a high level of specialization in knowledge, as well as practical abilities and experience in a Grade R classroom teaching setting. Admission Requirements.
- A National Senior Certificate (NSC) with Diploma endorsement.
- A National Certificate Vocational (NCV) at NQF Level 4 with Diploma endorsement, or.
- A Senior Certificate (ASC) with Diploma endorsement, or a Senior Certificate (SC); or.
- Foreign SchoolLeaving Certificate that meets the Matriculation Board’s minimal entry standards for Diploma studies (Equivalency evaluation is done with the Matriculation Board).
- A Level 4 or 5 Certificate or Diploma in ECD may also be provided for admission and assessment of advanced credit standing (MRTEQ, 2011).
Alternative Admission Requirements.
